Summary
Reporting to the Lead Developer, the successful candidate will bring a strong technical skill set combined with a proven track record of success to the position. They will be self motivated, have excellent attention to detail, and be a strong communicator.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality assurance on both in house product development and
customization work for customers.
- Maintain an invoicable bill out rate of at least 25%.
- Ensure that 1 or less technical support issues caused by programmatical failure is reported per quarter.
- Create test plans and track software defects.
- Prepare and maintain test environments.
- Assist with technical support as required.
Skillset
Required Skills (MUST HAVE)
- Have an ability to pay exceptional attention to detail.
- Have strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity with all facets of standard business practices and processes.
- Hands on experience and familiarity with both Microsoft SQL Server and SQL.
- Have received a Post Secondary Degree in Information Technology.
- Be a team oriented individual with the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and staff.
- Familiarity with software development and software development techniques.
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of automated testing tools, defect tracking and quality assurance techniques.
- Experience working with and/or implementing SAP Business One, Great Plains, Navision, Global Shop or a similar product.
- Familiarity with the Oil and Gas Energy Services industry.
- Familiarity with GAAP.
- Working towards or having already achieved an official accounting designation, or having experience with accounting fundamentals and principles.
- Knowledge of VisualBasic .NET techniques and development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems usage and installation.
