CALGARY, Alberta, Canada (February 1, 2012) – With new and better products coming to market, VistaVu Solutions is welcoming a proven executive with a mandate to expand its product and service offering.
VistaVu, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions for the oil and gas services industry and one of SAP’s premier North American channel partners, today announced that Donovan Volk has joined the company as Vice-President of Operations.
According to VistaVu President and CEO Jory Lamb, Volk gives the company greater depth and expertise in areas that increasingly matter to customers. With SAP® Business One and FieldVu as its core offering, VistaVu is developing new capabilities in business intelligence through SAP BusinessObjects™ and cloud-based services through SAP Business ByDesign™.
“Donovan has tremendous experience in oil and gas software development within a large-enterprise framework,” says Lamb. “He will contribute a high level of rigor, professionalism and insight to our organization as we roll out new service offerings to meet our customers’ changing needs.”
As Vice-President of Operations, Volk will be directly responsible for implementation, technical support and programming. He brings to the position a strong record of achievement in software development, customer engagement and sales and marketing.
Before joining VistaVu, Volk served as Director of Product Management, Oil & Gas Solutions, with CGI, a global IT and business process services leader. His time with CGI followed a variety of positions with TELUS where he was responsible for launching new products and services such as mobile applications, wireless networking and Data Center Hosting. Before TELUS, Volk worked for 10 years in sales and sales management with Xerox Canada.
