As of mid-August, all customers who are current on their SAP Maintenance and all new SAP Business One customers will be entitled to receive and deploy a single named user of Crystal Reports 2008 Basic for SAP Business One for free.
This special version of Crystal Reports 2008 has been designed to work only with data from your SAP Business One solution. This is the same product, from a functional perspective, that is available with a couple of restrictions and that is that the product is licensed for use only with SAP Business One data and associated Software Solution Provider data and includes drivers for Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2, the two supported databases for SAP Business One. Also, the redistributable .Net components are not included in this version. Partners and customers who wish to deploy the runtimes as part of their solutions to other organizations must acquire a full license of Crystal Reports 2008. Additional Crystal Reports 2008 licenses for other users in your organization can be purchased from your SAP Business One partner, Crystal Reports resellers or via the Business Objects global store at www.BusinessObjects.com.

How to Access the Solution
From early August, we will automatically ship new customers an additional CD containing the installation files for Crystal Reports 2008 Basic for SAP Business One as part of the standard boxed product of SAP Business One.
For existing customers covered by SAP maintenance and authorized SAP Business One partners, the installation CD will be available to download via the SAP Channel Partner Portal or the SAP Business One Customer Portal.
In addition, existing customers under maintenance can request a physical CD to be shipped to them via their SAP partner. Partners can do this by creating a support message via the SAP Channel Partner Portal against component XX-SER-SWFL-SHIP and requesting shipment of the CD.

Accessing Additional Crystal Reports Templates
SAP and Business Objects, an SAP company, are also pleased to announce that effective immediately, all customers and partners now have access to the Information OnDemand Marketplace which is a web based solution for buying and selling additional Crystal Reports templates as well as sharing templates freely with members of the SAP Business One and Crystal Reports community.

You can search for, purchase or access at no charge – depending on the individual template – and then download, additional Crystal Reports templates for SAP Business One as well as other non SAP related Crystal Reports templates.
